The Chip Lab, a StratusBase LLC service (“The Chip Lab”) is committed to safeguarding your privacy online. We have implemented numerous technical and administrative measures to ensure that your personal information remains protected and secure.

This Website Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy”) describes how The Chip Lab collects and uses the personal information and other information you provide using our public corporate website: www.The Chip Labsolutions.com (the “Site”). “Personal Information” is data that identifies or could be used to identify, locate, track, or contact an individual. This Privacy Policy also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information. We will share with third parties your personal information collected through the Site only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy.

By visiting the Site or using the services we provide through the Site, you are agreeing to the collection and use of information in the manner described below.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

Contact Information. If you request a demo, sign up for a presentation or event, or otherwise use the Site to ask that we contact you or provide you information, then we collect demographic and contact information, such as your name, title, company name, address, phone number, email address, and certain firmographic company information, such as number of employees and industry. We also supplement information received about potential customers with contact and demographic information received from third-party aggregators of such data.

  • We use this information to send you the information or materials you requested or to enable your participation in the event.
  • If you no longer wish to receive these email communications, you can follow the unsubscribe mechanism described in the Marketing Choices section of this Privacy Policy.

Log Data and Activity Tracking. As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

  • We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you, including personal information.
  • We use this information to improve the services we offer you, as well as for marketing, analytics, and Site operations purposes.

Tracking Technologies. Technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, scripts, or similar technologies are used by The Chip Lab and our partners, such as our marketing analytics providers and our online chat provider. These technologies are used to analyze trends, administer the Site, track users’ movements around the Site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We and our partners create individual and aggregated reports using these technologies.

  • We use cookies to improve the Site by seeing which areas and features are most popular, to count the number of devices accessing our website, to personalize and improve your experience, and to record your preferences.

  • Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use the Site, but your ability to use some features or areas of the Site may be limited.

Sharing of Your Information

The Chip Lab may share your information in the following situations:

Service Providers. We use service providers such as an email service provider to send out emails on our behalf, teleconference service providers to provide you with webinars and demos, and a hosting service provider to host and provide our content. When you sign up to receive any of these services, we will share your personal information only to the extent necessary to provide that service.

  • These companies are under agreements with The Chip Lab which require that they only use your personal information as permitted under this Privacy Policy.

Legal Requirements. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Anonymized Information. The Chip Lab may use anonymous demographic information with partners and advertisers and in connection with marketing our services to third parties.

Successors. If The Chip Lab is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information, including personal information, may be disclosed and transferred in connection with that transaction. Such transfer would enable due diligence and/or allow the transferee to operate the business. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.

Personal Information Access, Transfer, and Deletion

The following terms describe how The Chip Lab will respond (unless such response is not required by applicable local law) to the indicated requests:

Access and Deletion. Upon request we will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information.

  • If you wish to receive a copy of your personal information or to correct, update, or request the deletion (assuming that this does not impact services we are providing to you) of personal information provided to us, you may contact us using the information below in the Contact Us section of this Privacy Policy.
  • You may request that we restrict or cease the processing of your personal information while we make any corrections which you request.
  • If we no longer need your personal information to provide services or for other legitimate purposes, you may request that we retain but not otherwise process your personal data to the extent needed in order for you to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • We will respond to your request to access, update, or delete your personal information within thirty (30) days. Please note that we also may reject requests which risk the privacy of others or are unreasonable or repetitive or would require disproportionate effort.

Transfer of Information. You may receive a copy of your personal information which you provided to The Chip Lab in a structured and commonly used machine-readable format and you may transfer that information to another data controller. If it is technically feasible, you may request that we transfer the data directly to another controller. We will comply with your request subject to verifying your identity and provided that it is technically feasible.

Retention of Information. The Chip Lab will not retain your data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations.

Marketing Choices

Whenever you submit requests for more information or services from us, you may opt out of entering certain fields. However, such decision may affect our ability to provide what you have requested. You can opt out from marketing messages from The Chip Lab by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link included in them or by contacting The Chip Lab at support@chiplab.cloud. Such opt out will not extend to transactional or relationship messages.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted standards and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. The Chip Lab personnel with access to your information have been advised of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of such information and of using it only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Minors

If you are under the age of 18, you do not have permission to use our website. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personally identifiable information about users who are under the age of 18. If you are the parent or guardian of a minor under 18 years of age and believe they have disclosed personally identifiable information to this website, please contact us at support@chiplab.cloud so that we may delete the minor’s information.

Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers contain features that signal that the user does not want to be tracked, known as “Do Not Track” or DNT. The Site currently does not respond to such signals.

Links to Other Sites and Social Media Features

Links to Other Sites. The Site includes links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of The Chip Lab. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Social Media Features. The Site includes social media features, such as a Facebook “Like” button and a Twitter link (“Social Media Features“). These “Features” may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on the Site, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. These Features are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on the Site. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy statement of the website providing them.

Public Disclosures

Testimonials. The Chip Lab posts customer testimonials on the Site which may contain personal information. We will obtain your express consent prior to posting a testimonial. If you wish to request the removal of your testimonial you may do so by contacting us at support@chiplab.cloud.

Changes to This Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If The Chip Lab is going to use your personal information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, we will notify you via email sent to the email address you have provided to us prior to the change becoming effective. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your personal information in this different manner. We will also post a notice that this Privacy Policy has changed, so we encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.

California Consumer Privacy Act

The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) is a comprehensive privacy law for California consumers that went into effect on January 1, 2020. The CCPA creates several new rights for consumers to control access and use of their personal information. These include the right to access and delete personal information collected, as well as the right to opt out of a “sale” of their personal information. Transfers to “service providers” are permitted under the CCPA.

As stated within our Privacy Policies (Website Policy  and App Policy),  WE DO NOT SELL PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES. While we do share some data with trusted “service providers” to improve and market our services and to operate our websites, we do not allow any third parties to use the personal information we share with them for their own purposes.

With respect to our customers doing business in California, we are a “service provider,” as defined under the CCPA. As a “service provider,” we only use customer data and personal information, as permitted in our customer agreements, or Master Services Agreement (MSA), and in compliance with CCPA.
