Domtar completes sale of absorbent-materials maker EAM Corp. to Saothair Capital A newly formed affiliate of private equity firm Saothair Capital Partners has completed its acquisition of EAM Corp., the Jesup, Georgia-based producer of nonwoven airlaid and laminated absorbent materials used in hygiene, medical, industrial and food-packaging applications, from Domtar. Ottawa announces nearly $130 million for 56 forest sector transformation projects Energy and Natural Resources Minister Tim Hodgson announced close to $130 million in federal support for 56 initiatives across Canada, funding low-carbon wood technologies, expanded mass timber construction, Indigenous participation and export market diversification. The money flows through the Forest Innovation, Investment in Forest Industry Transformation, Green Construction Through Wood, Global Forest Leadership and Indigenous Forestry programs, part of more than $2 billion in sector support since August 2025.
