International Paper to close four North American plants International Paper announced plans to cease preprint operations at its Richwood, Kentucky facility and to close sheet and converting plants in Aurora, Illinois; Elk Grove, California; and Barrington, New Jersey by the third quarter of 2026. PPRC takes industry priorities to Capitol Hill The Pulp and Paperworkers' Resource Council, with roughly 85 worker-delegates from seven unions across 53 mills in 23 states, logged more than 539 meetings with members of Congress and administration officials on behalf of the forest products industry.
