Metsä Board makes Malin Nygren permanent VP of Husum mill Metsä Board has permanently appointed Malin Nygren as Vice President of its Husum pulp and board mill in Sweden, effective July 1, after she held the role on an interim basis since March. Saica commissions €86 million biomass boiler at Nogent-sur-Seine mill Saica Group has commissioned a 49.75 MW biomass boiler at its Nogent-sur-Seine paper mill in France, an €86 million investment replacing natural gas boilers. The unit will consume around 65,000 tonnes of locally sourced wood waste per year and produce roughly 300 GWh of energy annually — about 90% of the site's steam needs — cutting fossil CO2 emissions by 75% and natural gas consumption by 89%. Domsjö Fabriker plans liquefied biogas plant in Örnsköldsvik The Swedish biorefinery plans to build a plant converting its industrial biogas into liquefied biogas (LBG), targeting completion by Q4 2028. The fuel could displace roughly 100 GWh of fossil diesel per year and cut greenhouse gas emissions by about 26,700 tonnes of CO2; the project has applied for Swedish climate investment funding.
